Delhi BMW Crash Update:The horrific road accident in Delhi's Dhaula Kuan area has shaken the capital. Late on Sunday night, a speeding BMW hit a couple riding a bike. In the accident, 52-year-old Navjot Singh, who was posted as Deputy Secretary in the Finance Ministry, died on the spot, while his wife is seriously injured and is undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Woman driver arrested

The police arrested 38-year-old Gagandeep Kaur Makkar, a resident of Gurugram (Haryana), who was driving the car, and produced her in court on Monday. The court has sent her to judicial custody for two days. Meanwhile, a bail plea has also been filed on her behalf.

Questions on hospital connection

The hospital where the injured were admitted after the accident was about 19 km away from the spot. This Nulife Hospital is in GTB Nagar, North Delhi, and is run by the relatives of the accused woman. The victim's family has raised serious questions on this. He alleged that the accused party deliberately got him admitted to a hospital related to them so that the medical report could be tampered with.

Doubt on medical report

According to sources, the police is now investigating whether the medical report of the accused woman was tampered with. The victim's family says that there is no concrete record of the accused's treatment in the hospital.

No murder charge

Gagandeep Kaur has not been charged with murder in the FIR. She has been booked under sections like culpable homicide, tampering with evidence, negligent driving, and endangering life.
